Hollywood Star Lanes was a bowling alley located at 5227 Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Frequented by notable local Southern Cal Bowling League teams, such as the Roman Catholic Denominational team Livin' On A Spare, of Jesus Quintana and Liam O'Brien, The Pacifists, league champions Smokey Gilmore and Gilbert Koczyński, and The Lick-ity Splits, whom The Dude, Walter Sobchak, and formerly beloved bowling leaguer, Donny Kerabatsos, are members.

The bowling alley was used for scenes of the bowling alley in the 2003 film The Big Empty.

Unfortunately, the Hollywood Star Lanes bowling alley no longer exists, having been torn down in the years since. But then, I happen to know that there's an elementary school now stands where that bowling alley was located, with some little achievers on the way. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that.
