Jackie Treehorn is the overarching antagonist of ‘The Big Lebowski.’ He is a wealthy pornographer and loan shark who lives in Malibu, California. When asked how "the smut business" is doing, Jackie replies that he wouldn't know because he deals in publishing and social advocacy. Jackie Treehorn's outlook on the business is that now that he is competing with amateurs he can't afford to invest in story or feeling. His idea of the future lies in electronic entertainment based on the idea that the brain is the largest erogenous zone.
Ben Gazzara passed away on February 3, 2012 of pancreatic cancer in New York City.
